I've been a bit mia in these last days, but it was uni's fault. They changed dates, cancelled exams, so I had to prepare an exam in... 3 days O_O
It was today and I passed it \o/ (and the grade was pretty high too??? O_O)

Anyway, that was to explain why I'm writing only now about B.A.P's new album. Because it's an awesome album and I should've write something days ago.
First of all, the main track. Let me say that, after Badman, I was a bit worried that this one would have been a mess too. Buuut I was totally wrong. The song is very different from their previous title songs, but it's SO GOOD. It seems more mature? They really showed a different (nice) side of them.

The MV is so nice. The dance is AWESOME (ugh legs everywhere ugh). They look extra fine. BYG's hair is T_T They've also send away Zelo and put a tall grown up dude in his place? WHERE IS MY SON? I CAN'T CALL HIM CHERUB ANYMORE.

Anyway. Good. Everything is good.
The album too. I'm repeating myself, but they've really matured, musically speaking. And they did it in a good way. I LOVE all their previous releases (except Badman... it's ok, but nothing great), I became their fan firstly for their music, to the point that I've started learning their names after months o_o But I really like the direction they took.
If you want to listen to the full album, here

My recommendations are, other than 1004, SPY, Lovesick, Bang X2, Save Me, B.A.B.Y and With you.
Aaaand have two recent perfs, where they did a bit of Bang X2 and SPY too (leather jackets SIGH)

One last thing: lately Zelo's hair looks like Sehun's and I hate it T_T

King of Bittersweet

This is going to be quick (maybe) but I wanted to write something.

When I first listened to the radio versions of Bittersweet and Road to Glory I wrote something like "this single will be crap, but at leat they all look very handsome". Now the "they all look very handsome" part is still valid, because... well, they do look handsome. But it's a quite nice single.
Oh, but first, the covers: I know they look serious as always, but I like these ones. I don't know why, but I find them nice. Maybe it's the fall theme, maybe it's the bench, maybe it's Jun's ribbon. I don't know.

At first, (and by that I mean with the radio version, first eps of the drama, and that performance... somewhere) Bittersweet didn't tell me anything, I was finding it very boring. Now, maybe it's because I got used to it thanks to the drama, or maybe it's because I just needed few more listenings, now it's quite nice. I still think that the refrain is nothing special, but I really like the stanzas.
Same for the PV: after the short version I thought "how boring, they just stand there looking good", and... yes, they just stand there looking good, but now I actually like it? I don't know how many times I'll rewatch it, but it was pretty to watch. The setting, the colors... it was nice.
And you can't see it from the PV (of course, lately they only dance when they don't want to see them doing it. *coff coff* Paradox PV *coff coff*), but the choreo is really nice!!
Also

(Riida with that orange turtleneck looked amazing too)

Road to Glory: at first, I hated it. Now I don't, I recognize that it has some good things, like the lyrics and the refrain, but I still find it nothing special. Maybe because I was expecting something like their previous songs for the Olympics, which I liked A LOT more. Anyway, nothing great but it's ok!

Sync: my only thought about this song was 'NO', then I deleted it forever from my computer. I'll repeat it: NO.

Motto, ima yori: this one is... ok. Nothing special, again, but ok.

So, basically, the whole single is "nothing special but ok"... which is a lot better than what I was expecting, after LOVE XD

Now, Eito.
Do we need to talk about the covers? No we don't.

King of Otoko is great and I adore it. Their last main tracks were nice (Hibiki was really nice), but less... energetic? But I like this one a lot. And it's not the dumb kind of energetic, but the serious one... does this even make sense? Anyway, it's great.
And the PV!! So classy, so elegant, so dandy! Like Ohkura's coat. Or Maru's... thing. OR THEIR PANTS. (or TORN's existence, this is always very classy) I mean, if Yasu is the one dressed better, than you, stylist, have a lot of problems! But it's ok because it's somehow in the same verse of Mogura no Uta (ps: the director is Miike for both the movie and the PV). But the PV is great, seriously. Bless.
Also... I wanted to write something about their last Music Station performance.
I don't care about the golden look, really. But... they were with Arashi, so a lot of Arashi fans saw them, of course. And it kinda pisses me off that Arashi fans see them only when they don't perfectly sing Arashi's songs (see the recent WaH perf) or when they're... I don't know, golden? Because most of Arashi fans a)don't like them at all, b)think they're loud and funny. Which is true. They're loud and funny and dumb, and they're kinda obsessed with boobs, but there's also so much more. There's a passion, a musical talent, that you really don't see in other Johnny's groups. So I'm just a bit upset that maybe a lot of people will think "Oh look, there are Kanjani8, fooling around like always. They're crazy!". But this is a problem of mine, like when I hate when they call Aiba "Aibaka" etc.

Anemone: meh. Maybe I need to listen to it few more times, but seems nothing important.

Yume Ressha: LOVE. I fell in love with it after the first seconds, because that instrumental beginning is BEAUTIFUL. The whole song is, I love it ;___; I love the fact that among their b-sides you can always find some jewels (bansouuuuuuuuuu *_______*)

And that's it!
I'm still waiting for their concert dvds... no, wait, I'm not really thrilled about LOVE tour. But maybe it will have some Arafes digest? ... hope never dies. Also Aiba solo T_T

Finally, someone has started subbing Dr. DMAT (which, if you don't know, is Ohkura's last drama), and after 3 episodes I need to write something about it.

You all know that medical dramas aren't my thing. I don't care about all that medical stuff and I don't like seeing all those entrails and blood and... no thanks. But the important things about these dramas are the characters, the interactions, the plot. And that's why Last Hope was such an amazing drama: because of the topics covered in each episode, the peculiar characters and the mistery element.
So far, Dr. DMAT only has the nice plot: you watch it to see the main character growing up. But I've watched only 3 episodes, so I can't really say that much.

What I really want to say is how much Ohkura's acting is improving. Lately he's doing at least one drama per year, and you can see how much he's getting better at portraying his characters' emotions. From Umareru, where his acting was nothing great, to Mikeneko (which wasn't really a great drama, but Ohkura did a great job with his character. He put a lot of himself in Ishizu), to Otenki Oneesan (we don't talk about it, though: he did okay, but the drama and his character were terrible), to this.
He's improved so much, and it makes me happy because he seems really interested in acting. And maybe he's doing so well in this drama because he's so involved in it. If you read these last months' jwebs, you can see how much Dr. DMAT is important to him, how much he cares, how much he's trying. And seeing good results really makes me happy.

(Honestly, it was obvious he had a lot of talent for acting. If you watched Ooku you know what I'm talking about. I'll never get tired of repeating this: he appeared for less than 15 minutes, but his performance was terribly intense. He was great.)

Oh. I've been saying this for months, and now that I'm watching the drama I'm more convinced than before: a crossover between Dr. DMAT and Last Hope is a thing that needs to be written and maybe I'll do it because I have problems.

By the way, ChocoJun is about to end. Please anticipate a hateful review.

*pops out from nowhere*
I'm interested in so many things this season, that I hope half of them will be bad so I can drop them >.<
Also, I don't know what to do about Kdramas. I mean, for this post: some of them started at the end of february/beginning of march, so it was too early to put them in the winter post, but a bit late to put them here... I think I'll just write about them in this post.

Yowakutemo Katemasu
yowakutemo
Trailer
Date: From 9.00 p.m., Saturdays, 12th April 2014
Station: NTV
Scriptwriter: Kuramochi Yutaka (Nobunaga no Chef, 13-sai no Hello Work)
Cast: Ninomiya Kazunari, Fukushi Sota, Arimura Kasumi, Nakajima Yuto, Yamazaki Kento, Hongo Kanata, Mamiya Shotaro, Sakurada Dori, Suzuki Katsuhiro, Yanagi Shuntaro, Hiraoka Takuma, Yakushimaru Hiroko, Aso Kumiko, Mitsuishi Ken, Arakawa Yoshiyoshi, Kawahara Kazuhisa, Sasano Takashi, Ichikawa Ebizo
Synopsis: Tamo Aoshi (Ninomiya Kazunari) is a substitute teacher at his alma mater, a prestigious private high school which admits 200 students to Tokyo University every year. He becomes the coach of the weak baseball club which has only five members and has never won a game since it was established. The highest number of times they have thrown the ball back and forth without dropping it is nine. They prefer the outfield because the infield is scary. Furthermore, they practice on the grounds only three hours a week. At other times, they study, study and study. But they love baseball. Finding them interesting and strange creatures, Aoshi decides that he will give his charges victory, guided by his offbeat theory “triumph is possible even if weak”. And then they seriously set their sights on the annual nationwide high school baseball championship with their brand of preposterous baseball.

I'm so thrilled for this one!! They were saying it would have been something like Rookies and... well, if it's true it will be awesome because Rookies is great ;_; And I love stories about sport and young friendship, like Rookies and Tumbling ;_; Also, Nino usually picks drama I like, he never disappoints me. The cast seems good too, I hope the actors who'll play the students will be okay, since they're young and all; I know some of them tho, like the girl who played Matsuri in Shitsuren (she seems okay), Nakajima Yuto, who is growing as an actor, I quite liked him in the last things I saw, and Kanata Hongo, who is really good. I always tell myself to watch more of his works, because I like him a lot.
Anyway, there are all the premises for a good drama!

Shinigami kun
shinigamikun
Trailer
Date: From 11.15 p.m., Fridays, 18th April 2014
Station: TV Asahi
Scriptwriter: Hashimoto Hiroshi (Sennyuu Tantei Tokage, Unmei no Hito, Juui Doolittle)
Cast: Ohno Satoshi, Kiritani Mirei, Suda Masaki, Matsushige Yutaka, Ohara Sakurako (guest star), Takada Riho (guest star), Watanabe Shu (guest star), Okayama Hajime (guest star), Iketani Nobue (guest star), Anami Atsuko (guest star)
Synopsis: Shinigami-kun (Ohno Satoshi), alias grim reaper #413, is a rookie who pronounces the death of those scheduled to die and brings souls to the nether world. He would appear with the signature phrase “Congratulations! I’m here to call on you” although it is hard to say how this can be a happy occasion, and watch over the dying. To a grim reaper, persuading people attempting to commit suicide and preventing unforeseen deaths is also an important task. But because #413 is new to this grim reaper work, he has a tendency to lean towards humans in his judgments, break the rules of the nether world and get reprimanded by his superior (Kiritani Mirei).

Ohno will be in another episodical drama and will play another weird character (which is okay, he's good). Also, it reminds me so much of Kaibutsu kun... but! As much as I'd like him to play in a different kind of drama, one with a solid plot, I'm still waiting for this. I think it will be nice funny in a weird way. Also excuse me while I flail at the idea of Mirei playing another awesome bitchy character!!!

Trailer
Date: From 9.00 p.m., Thursdays, 10th April 2014
Station: TV Asahi
Scriptwriter: Kaneshiro Kazuki (SP Series)
Cast: Oguri Shun, Aoki Munetaka, Haru, Endo Kenichi, Furuta Arata, Takito Kenichi, Nomaguchi Toru, Hamano Kenta

Although there is no change to his unpredictable condition, Ishikawa soon returns to detective work. Before long, he discovers that he has the special ability to communicate with the dead and is initially bewildered. But he learns truths about cases that no one knows, guided by the voices of the dead.

I haven't watched a Japanese detective drama in few months, but somehow I feel like I'm always watching them O_O But watch the trailer of this one! It seems so good?? I'm seriously intrigued. And the last drama with Oguri Shun I watched was Rich Man, Poor Woman... he was amazing, but I didn't like the drama, so I want to watch something nice with him!

Bitter Blood

Trailer
Date: From 9.00 p.m., Tuesdays, April 2014
Station: Fuji TV
Scriptwriter: Oyama Shota
Cast: Watabe Atsuro, Sato Takeru, Kutsuna Shiori, Fukikoshi Mitsuru, Tanaka Tetsushi, Minagawa Sarutoki, KEIJI, Hirose Suzu, Kusamura Reiko, Takahashi Katsumi, Oikawa Mitsuhiro
Synopsis: Rookie detective Sawara Natsuki (Sato Takeru) has not met his father Shimao Akimura (Watabe Atsuro) since his parents divorced when he was 13. The relationship between father and son is the worst possible. However, Natsuki gets assigned to the Criminal Affairs Division at Ginza Police Precinct where his father is, and of all things, the two of them are made partners under team leader Kagiyama Kensuke (Takahashi Katsumi).

Honestly, I want to see Takeru in another drama so much that I could watch anything. Luckily it seems an interesting drama: more detectives, but the father-son interactions might be nice. Oh, and the cast is full of people I know!

~KOREA~

Ok, so the first three already started, let's consider them as winter/spring dramas O_O

His disability was caused by his uncle Dong-chan accidentally shooting him in the head when he was kidnapped.

Okay guys, you have to watch this. I'm halfway through it and I have no idea who the killer is. It's mindblowing and breathtaking and amazing and so well acted and... really, give it a try.

Three Days
Drama_ThreeDays_Poster_bc3_zps35046789
Trailer
Date: From 9.55 pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 5th March 2014

Three Days follows the intertwining fates of those sworn to protect the president, the president himself, his political staff, and the true power players in the shadows who decide whether he lives or dies.

Lot of political, military etc stuff, and lot of names, it requires a lot of focus, especially if you watch it in English (and it isn't your mother language, of course). But it's really well done and well acted.

Secret Love Affair
Secret_Love_Affair-tp
Trailer
Date: From 9.50 om, Mondays & Tuesdays, 17th March 2014

Hye-won experiences for the first time what truly falling in love is like, and she and Seon-jae begin a passionate affair which they must keep secret because it threatens to unravel both their lives.

If you're Yoo Ah In's fan, this drama is a must watch, because a)he's amazing in it, b)he really plays the piano in every scene!, and c)it will probably be his last drama before going to the army D:
Anyway, this drama is so strange: there are some part that are so boring I can't live, but then booom! you have this super intense scene that does wonders to you. Also, beautiful soundtrack.

Aaaand these are the "new" ones

It's funny, because I decided to try it because I know VIXX's N was in the cast, but he plays a minor character, in the 1st episode he has like 2 lines XD This morning I watched the 1st ep and now I'm totally hooked, it seems really good!

I'm not even going to lie: I want to watch it because of Hongbin. Buuut it actually seems nice? a funny family drama. And the scriptwriter is the one from I Miss You, which was beautiful *_*

Eeeeh, a medical drama. But is seems like i won't be that focused on medical stuff, but on drama and drama and more drama. I'm just going to try the first episodes, and mostly for the cast.

I watched all VIXX MYDOL, all the VIXX TV episodes aired so far, random interviews/music shows bts and... I still don't have a favorite VIXX member. They're just a bunch of darlings.
I'm definitely swaying towards N, Leo and Ken, but I'm totally unable to choose between them. I... don't know. But I'm glad I've been dedicating a bit of time to know them better because they're all so precious ♥ And maybe it's a good thing that I couldn't go to see them the 2 times they came to Milan: I bet I would've enjoyed the concert a lot, but at that time I didn't know/like them as much as I do now, it would have been different. I definitely hope they'll come back this winter tho!

Anyway, seems like Japan and Korea are joining forces to release everything possible in this period: EXO's mini album, VIXX's ridiculously expensive photobook, Arafes DVD and Juke Box DVD ;A; I preordered EXO's minis just because I found 25 euros in my prepayed card, but the rest... I don't have the money. Because, actually, I'm going to see B.A.P in Paris at the end of the month. I bought the tickets (I'm going with my sister) weeks ago, but didn't write anything about it because... well, I think I still haven't realized that I'm actually going to see them. I'll probably be aware of what's going on only when I'll be inside the venue ;_;
Anyway, I spent a good amount of money, so I'll have to stay calm for a while (I really want Eito DVD though. I'm going to buy it as soon as I'll have some money to waste spend)

And! I've watched the 1st episode of Yowakutemo Katemasu and I'm already in love. It seems so good, and I'm just a sucker for stories about sport. They always make me feel all warm and emotional ;_; (this is why, even if I'm not really an anime person, I've started watching Haikyuu, an anime about high school volley and... I mean, it's about volley. You have no idea of how nostalgic and emotional I feel watching it)

P.S.
I need a VIXX icon

P.P.S.
Freaking Overdose.
Freaking Do Kyungsoo.
FREAKING KIM MINSEOK.
SUPER FREAKING BAEKSOO.
Freaking... well nothing new here.
Freaking Blond Daddy.
Freaking Do Kyungsoo - part2.
Freaking Kim Minseok - part2.
Freaking everything.

Note: e così ha inizio.

Avrebbero dovuto darla a Tao. O a Baekhyun.

BAP concert in Paris

As I wrote in my last post, this week I was in Paris for B.A.P's concert! I came back Friday night with a horrible cold (I still sneeze every 3 seconds :|), because the last 2 days the weather sucked, it rained for most of the time :/

ANYWAY. THE CONCERT!

I went there (I was with my sister btw) about 3 hours before the opening of the doors, even before Bap theirselves arrived, but it was already full of people O_O I don't know if next time I'm going to arrive earlier, since I found a good place anyway. Standing in queque wasn't nice because of rude people trying to surpass others I was deadly tired: I spent the 2 days before and that morning walking non-stop (and I'm not used to it anymore), then I stood in line for more than 3 hours... at one point I didn't even care about getting a good place, I just wanted to sit down XD
When I finally entered I found a seat and rested for the 30+ minutes left before the concert. I wasn't in the pit because I didn't manage to buy the ticket for it (the site I bought it from didn't let me O_O), but probably if was better like that: I didn't have a priority access, so I wouldn't have been in the 1st rows, and since I'm short I wouldn't have seen much u_u And thinking about how tired I was, having a place to sit before the concert was a blessing! Also, the seat I foundwas really good: a little more towards the center would have been the best, but I was in the 2nd row, so I could see very well *_*
Before the concert, I was really calm: everyone in the venue was already screaming and doing the wave and calling them (my sister: "Give Himchan the time he needs to put his make up on!!"), but I was quite relaxed. I thought "I'll get hyped with the real thing". And well... I did, but I didn't think I'd get SO hyped! If you've ever met me in person, you've probably noticed that I'm a veeery quiet person. You wouldn't have recognized me XD
But if they start the concert with One Shot... how am I supposed to stay calm? One Shot which is EVERYTHING.
Remember when I wrote that I hadn't realized yet that I was going to actually see Bap? Well, the reality hit me only at the beginning of the first song; before that, my mind was blank, everything seemed unreal. But when Yongguk started One Shot's rap, the other 5 dancing around him, I thought "Shit, it's real." And no, I didn't cry, but damn, I had tears in my eyes for the whole song. It was overwhelming.

I have no idea how people manage to write concert reports which make sense, because everything in my head is still a mess O_O
Like, I don't remember if I had a stronger mental breakdown when I saw Zelo doing body rolls or every.single.time Yongguk did something. I don't know.
The boys performed and looked great. It was such an awesome day for all of them SIGH.

Himchan is SO handsome. Really, what a nice face. He's also a cute and clumsy idiot. Also, BUTT. At one point (I think it was during Lovesick) they were doing some kind of train, where each one of them had to put his hands on the shoulders of the one in front of him, and Himchan kept missing Daehyun's ones, so he settled for his waist.
And I've always thought it was cute that he took pics of the fans at every concert, but seeing him doing it live was ç_ç
Jongup is amazing. When he talks he seems on another planet and is the most precious thing ever, then he starts to dance and BAM! Hip thrust! BAM! Abs! He looks so fierce while performing. And let's not talk about his dance solo because I almost pulled my hair out. Also, his efforts at those singing lessons are definitely paying off because he sang very well (he has such a sweet voice ;_;) and at some point he did a high note and I wasn't expecting it and HE JUST DID SO WELL FOR THE WHOLE CONCERT!
Daehyun and Youngjae are two fluffballs.
Youngjae was so hyper for the whole thing, saying "Bonjour" at every occasion with that smug face of his >.> And his voice is great. I'm still not okay with how handsome he looks recently, and he did this time too :< even with that hair that kinda looked like a mushroom.
Daehyun is a NOPE. I screamed him few times to go away because his face is NOT OKAY. Seriously, there's a reason if on tumblr I have a successful male prostitute tag. Because there are times when his face and body movements are... no. But his smile T_T And HIS VOICE T___T Those high notes were pure perfection, I can't believe I heard them live T_T And of course he had to stay true to himself and, when they were mentioning random French things what do you think he said?? Baguette. OF COURSE, JUNG DAEHYUN, OF COURSE. (he also was the last one to leave the stage, little heart ♥) (this happened too and HE REALLY IS A LITTLE HEART)
Zelo is a giant O_O Really, he should stop. No one who isn't a basket/volley player needs to be that tall. His face is... growing up too. He looks so mature ;_; But then he speaks and... he has this cute alien voice T_T He's so cute T___T He was playful for the whole concert (and even a little sassy... spending too much time with Youngjae...). Near the end (after 1004) they said they needed to change outfits for the next song, to wait for them, and some of them "playfully" pretended to strip there in stage (motherfuckers), but Zelo actually took off his jacket and stayed with a large tank top, so on the screen there was a close up of his arms and NOPEEEEEEE. FETUS STOP. When he noticed it he made this scandalized face and pretended to cover himself. Well, son, the damage was already done >_> Before Coffee Shop they were doing a little sketch and Zelo went to a fan in the first rows and asked her what did she wanted and then gave her a drink T_T Little baby is becoming a little man who interacts with girls and I'm T___T But he still was an awkward shy potato ♥ (Jongup did the same, but he asked "What do you want" to a male fan, probably thinking he wouldn't get any 'compromising' answer since he was a male, but the guy answered "You" and oh the blank face he made XD With Yongguk laughing a "What??" and Youngjae being the little shit he is "Jongup is mine!")
Then... last but not least. Yongguk. BANG FREAKING YONGGUK. If you had told me a week ago that if was possible for me to like him more than I already did, I'd told you you were crazy, that he was impossible. WELL I WAS WRONG. He was simply perfect. And his look, with the hair pushed up, was... ugh. Look I don't even have the words to describe how good he looked? I'll just said that my sister, who is a Himchan's stan, told me after the concert "Yongguk was so handsome that some times I forgot Himchan was there too." He looked, moved and sounded amazing, and his rap was so powerful ;_; I screamed a lot. Like every time he took the mic or just did something, I was either screaming "No!" or making crying noises (I hope the camera didn't record me...) And he was smiling a lot? All of them were, but you know how much I'm weak for his gummy smile ♥ He was so cute ;_; and handsome ;_; and hot ;_; I'll never be okay. And during the introduction they did that thing where they determine  who's the most popular member on the basis of who recieve more screams after his introduction. We screamed a lot for Yongguk and he won, and he looked so happy and embarrassed ;_____; And few songs after that... I don't know if they did it because he was the most popular, but they lift his tshirt up and showed his holy skin T_T

BmjP1RNIcAA4Tn-
Here the video.

They all recieved a lot of love from us, and showered us with even more love. really, they were so sweet and nice and full of energy, they deserve all the love of the world.
Aaaand they didn't even bring a translator, they tried their best to speak French and English (that's why few times our reactions werea but slow... it was hard understanding what they were saying XD). But it's something that most of artists don't do, I really liked it.
The concert itself was amazing. I think that even a person who just know 2 random Bap's songs would have had a great time, because their performances were all powerful and full of energy!
I danced and sang a lot and, before I knew it, everything ended :C Before the concert I was deadly tired, but then, for those 2 hours and half, I totally forgot about it, just having the time of my life \o/
Sometimes it still feels like a dream. I feel like I've recently watched their concert on DVD, but then I remember "No, wait. I was there. It was real. It really happened." It's such a strange feeling.
Recently a friend of mine went to Tokyo for the first time andtold me how strange was visiting a place she's seen so much on her computer/tv. I think this is very similar. I've been watching Bap so much on video in the last 2 years, watching their shows and their performances, I know how their dances are and how their faces look like, but this time they were there, right in front of my eyes. The real things. Among the voices they heard, there was mine. Among the faces they were looking at, there was mine. This time, when they were sending kisses and saying "thank you" and "bye", they really were talking to me too. And it was the best ♥

This report isn't really a report, but I still hope they'll come back in Europe for the next tour, I'll definitely go to see them again!
My precious potatoes ♥♥

[ITA] Sunday Morning

$

Titolo: Sunday Morning
Fandom: EXO
Pair: Baekhyun/Chanyeol
Rating: PG
Words: 599
Note: Baekyeol is not my style, romanticamente parlando, ma ci sono delle persone che ho praticamente trascinato in questo fandom (baci_chan, carrie2485, ichigo_85) che li shippano violentemente, quindi questa cosina da poco è per loro ♥

“Oh, ti sei svegliato.”

“Mh-mh,” conferma Taekwoon.

A little bit later than usual, but I've been busy!
Buuut I've passed one of the exams I feared the most, so now I'll be more free. I still have two more exams this July, but they're easier 8D
(Also, something "weird" happened: remember when I said I was taking the distance from EXO fandom? Well after that, some fandom friends... like... stopped talking to me? Haha. People who I knew before EXO? People that got sucked into this fandom because of me? Uhm, okay O_O I'm not even mad, just reeeeaaaaally perplexed)

Anyway! At first I was happily thinking "Oh, this season there aren't many dramas that interest me"... but... there are 4 of them. And thet's not "not many" at all XD AND they're only the Japanese ones...

Scriptwriter: Muto Shogo (Kazoku Game, Joker, Densha Otoko)
Original Work: Remake of Wakamonotachi 1966
Cast: Tsumabuki Satoshi, Eita, Mitsushima Hikari, Emoto Tasuku, Nomura Shuhei, Aoi Yu, Hashimoto Ai, Yoshioka Hidetaka, Nagasawa Masami

They sometimes have big quarrels and heated discussions about the contradictions in the world and ideals. Although times have changed, the worries and problems of the young today develop from universal issues such as academic qualifications, employment, restructuring, love and marriage.

This seems such a heartwarming drama, the kind of thing that makes me all emotional. I believe that if they're doing a remake of something old, the original work must have been good. Like Kazoku Game... and the scriptwriter is the same, so I have expectations! I don't know all the members of the cast, but those I know are really good *_*

Kenta begins to realise Akehi’s importance to him while Akehi, a mother of three, also starts to defy her violent husband (MATSU). Meanwhile, Ryosuke and Kaoruko surrender to their mutual passions, but a gap in their feelings arises little by little … … They want to take off with the true love they have found in adulthood. A reality that will not be allowed. The four of them are now 40 years old. They are no longer young, but there is still time for them to start over again. They single-mindedly and earnestly live for this moment, but...

I usually like these romance dramas between grown up people (like Watashi ga Renai etc etc. Kekkon Shinai was quite nice too), so I'm looking forward to this!

Although Naoya spent time abroad, he has been influenced by Japanese manga on delinquents and has grown into a youth with fighting spirit and chivalry. He has returned to Japan in order to spend the third year of high school in the country. Kasumino Technical High School once had the delinquents he wanted to be like in his childhood. However, these delinquents have now disappeared from Japan and in their place are mild delinquents. Naoya is dejected but comes across water polo. The district he has moved to is known as the “water polo town”. Learning that water polo is no-holds barred aquatic martial arts, he challenges the formidable Kitajima Torao (Takagi Yuya) of rival school, Suiran High School. However, he is defeated. Naoya promises himself that he will beat Torao in water polo and come out tops.

.......... what. But there are 3 precious kids from Yowakate, AND seems like Yoko will make an appearance too? In the role of some kind of delinquent, I don't know. The important think is that he's blonde again, it's like he went back to his Junior era ♥ Scandinavian Yuuchin!

Although she is good at numerical expressions, she has not much interest in understanding the feelings of her interview subjects. In an attempt to overturn this perception, Tomoko decides to do a story on home nursing care based on her memories of her grandfather. However, she gets overwhelmed by the harsh reality and unexpectedly stumbles across a series of unexplained deaths of elderly people receiving such care.

The things I do for love part 2313412453174124.
I'm honestly curious of how she'll do. So far, her characters have always been... not the same, but she always play the bitchy one. Or the pretty cold hearted girl. She does it well, but this character seems different, so I'm curious! The drama will probably be horribly boring tho.

There are few more Korean dramas I'm interested too, but there aren't many infos yet, even if they start in July/August, so I'll just put the links.

Spring season aka 99% of my predictions were wrong.

YOWAKUTEMO KATEMASU
Being a sport drama, being described as the ‘successor of ROOKIES’, I thought I’d loved it. BUT.
The drama has, like… nothing to do with ROOKIES. The only thing they have in common is that they’re both about baseball and the teacher/coach has an important role, but nothing else. Which is good, because who wants a copy of something? Not me. But yes, I thought it would be different. Maybe it’s also because of the fact that, especially at the beginning, they were so… weak? No, that’s not the problem, but it seemed like most of them didn’t really care about playing baseball and I was like “Then why are you in the club??”. And their approach to sport was the opposite of mine: not be scared of the ball, trying to get stronger etc. That’s how I’ve always played, so the “If you don’t want the ball to come to you, you can say ‘Don’t come!!’” theory or the whole “We’ll win while staying weak” was a bit confusing, for me. Then I understood that, maybe, it can be a winning strategy, in baseball? I don’t know, since I’m still not fully sure about the rules O_O
And all the mental trips they did while talking about baseball... like defense is science and attack is social studies... like… what the hell are you even saying??? So much talking about nothing, I’d had a headache if only I cared enough to replay the conversation to try to understand it better (I bet that even with 6 more replays, it still would not make sense)

But!! This doesn’t mean AT ALL that I didn’t enjoy this drama. Yes, I can understand why a lot of people dropped it after the first episodes, because it’s veeeery slow. The first half tries to introduce each member of the team, giving to anyone a ‘story’, a past of some kind. It’s the same thing that a lot of dramas do, dedicating one episode to each character and then focusing on the group. Tumbling comes to mind, but there… well, it wasn’t that slow paced, and the stories of the characters were ALL touching. But, hey, we can’t have everything. In Yowakate there aren’t tragedies, or guys with a dark past. There’s just the crazy Kamezawa who is poor and at some point has to leave school (it was a bit of a tragedy, to me, honestly. I liked him so much). And there are so many funny moments, seriously, you should watch it just for them.
Honestly, you should have just a bit of patience, because the last 4-5 episodes are really nice. It feels like they’re finally getting somewhere and things get really emotional (well... emotional for me. I’m a total loser when it comes to these kind of things). But the second half of the drama was really good.

A lot of people were a bit disappointed that Nino chose to do this drama. In the last years, he spoiled us acting in great dramas and movies (not only in the last years, actually, most of the things he did when he was younger were really good too). For this fandom, Nino was like an assurance? “Oh, Nino will do a new drama, it will be good for sure”. But Yowakate turned out to be just an okay drama. Nice, light, quite funny. But not a masterpiece like Ryuusei no Kizuna or Freeter, or a little pearl like Haikei Chichiue sama.
I’m not disappointed or turned down in the slightest, though. Yes, it’s not the best drama I’ve watched this year, but I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Nino had a lot of fun playing his role and you can see it, watching the drama; and this is probably the reason why he chose to do it. He liked the role of Aoshi sensei, a role that he’s never played before. Maybe the big audience prefers cool roles, and I’m sure Japan thinks that Shitsuren Chocolatier was such a better drama than Yowakate. But you know, Nino doesn’t really need to do this kind of dramas, to shine. He doesn’t need it and doesn’t even like it. Yes, Yowakate wasn’t the best drama of his career, but he did a splendid job. The role of Tamo Aoshi was so right , for him.
(Also, how cute is seeing Nino interacting with younger kids?? I always feel like he only hangs out with people 20 years older than him.)

Aaand, the rest of the cast! I’m always very cautious with young actors, because dramas like GTO and Bad Boys caused me the biggest trauma with how bad most of the actors were. They’ll probably get better in the future, I don’t know, but at that time they were... no. So I kind of feared that the Yowakate guys wouldn’t be good either. I knew that Yuto was okay since somehow I always end up watching the dramas he’s in, and also knew that Kanata Hongo was really good (I had never seen his ‘comic’ side before, and he’s good at this too! I loved his Kamezawa, he was totally insane.), but I didn’t know the others.
At the end, I didn’t need to worry, because all the guys were good. I loved Mamiya Shotaro and Yamazaki Kento’s performances (Okadome and Ebato), while I should watch Fukushi Sota in something else because Aikawa was a bit… meh. The others were good too!

So I hope that this drama will have one more thing in common with ROOKIES: that the guys who played the students will become good and famous actors (if you don’t know anything about ROOKIES, there were people like Kiritani Kenta, Takeru Sato, Ichihara Hayato, Koide Keisuke and more).
Oh, and A+ soundtrack.

SHINIGAMI KUN
Okay. I don’t know if I’m ready to talk about this drama. I’ll probably capslock a lot??? Forgive me. Also, there will be major spoilers if you haven’t watched the whole drama.

What I was expecting from this drama: something episodic, cute, weird, with a strange sense of humor (“I’m glad to inform you that you’ve been chosen to die”), maybe sometimes a bit touching... something ala Kaibutsu kun.
What this drama actually was: episodic but not so much, cute, weird, with a strange sense of humor, but mostly PHYSICAL PAIN, DESPERATION AND UNRESOLVED FEELINGS. Seriously.
I started the 1st episode giggling and ended it crying like a 5 years old baby. I wasn’t expecting it to be so sad. Actually most of the following episodes weren’t as touching, but the damage was already done. A drama that makes me cry at the very 1st ep? I’m doomed. BUT you know what really killed me? THE FREAKING SECOND EPISODE. WITH FREAKING HAYASHI KENTO AND THE FREAKING KID AND FREAKING EVERYTHING. It started like a cute copy of Death Note (little info for you all: Death Note was written after Shinigami kun) and ended with me drowning in my own tears. Seriously. I cried so much at that episode; everything seemed resolved, and then... I’m still so mad.
I don’t know many shinigami(s?) but I’m 100% sure Shinigami 413 is the cutest and most precious of them all. Telling you you’ll die soon with that cute smile, he’s so polite! And naïve. And cuuute. Also a bit slow but everyone can’t help but adore him. WITH THAT CUTE HAT! And that sleeping cat-like face. Aw.
“Keep screwing things up and you’ll die, Shinigami n. 413!” and he keeps breaking rules because he’s that good and just wants humans to be happy? He gets beaten up by his supervisor, gets bullied by Akuma, gets scolded by the boss, gets ill-treated by 99% of the humans he meets and doesn’t care. He freaking DIES and he DOESN’T CARE. Because no one died for nothing. How good is he? How kind?
I’m so sad.

And can we talk about his relationship with the supervisor? CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS SUPREME OTP? Bitchy Queen of the Otheworld mistreated him for the whole drama but she totally fell for him I SAW IT. She couldn’t resist. And Shinigami 413 was so dense, he didn’t notice. She DIED because he broke a rule for the nth time BUT SHE WAS OKAY WITH THAT. Because she was starting thinking like him, that rules weren’t everything and sometimes humans needed their pity and their help. ALL THANKS SHINIGAMI 413. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL.

AND THE ENDING. IS THAT AN ENDING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
They both die, but then they reborn? As humans? And they don’t know each other? But then they meet? And have this kind of strange sensation like “Oh, I feel like I’ve already met him/her”. YES. YES YOU HAVE.
STOP MAKING ME SAD.

Few words about Mirei, Bitchy Queen of the Universe, Flawless Lady of Crows. Crows Zero was about her taking over the world, don’t you know that? Perfect piece of perfection, I adore her. I’m also hideously biased, don’t mind me.

Last but not least, Akuma!
Since until now I’ve been very serious and deep, talking about supreme otps and cute hats, let me start with something shallow: I’m not the biggest fan of Suda Masaki’s face. He’s a good actor, but his face is so-so, for me. But DAMN, AKUMA. Maybe it was the character, maybe it was the silver wig, but he was hot. Like thank you for the view, I appreciated it.
He was such a nice character? Yes he’s a demon who tricks humans to eat their souls BUT has no one stopped to think that he did that because, otherwise, he’d have died? And not everyone can be selfless like Shinigami 413. And he wasn’t even that evil, because, come on. He didn’t eat one soul for the whole drama. “We hadn’t shaken hands yet, it doesn’t count” and other things. He just wanted to annoy Shinigami 413 because he liked him, and just wanted to be his friend. Look at the ending. Look at what he does. LOOK AT HIS EYES AFTER SHINIGAMI 413 DIES. He just wanted to be his friend T_T
Like I said, I wasn’t expecting any of this.
(Do you know if OST has been released? I need the opening theme song)
ALSO LOOK AT ALL THE THINGS THIS DRAMA WON.

BITTER BLOOD
A detective drama with average cases and a bad guy more ridiculous than scary (he likes to listen to classical music while scheming his hideous plans and even while he inflicts pain to his victims. A total psychopathic, he was seriously funny. Also, Takeru Sato has this not so nice toy poodle hair.

But!! I enjoyed this drama A LOT. The characters and their interactions were perfect and terribly funny. Especially the father/son combo.
If you want a serious detective drama ala Strawberry Night, don’t even bother to watch the 1st episode, but if you want something hideously funny, Bitter Blood is the right drama. (aaand there will be a special somewhere in the future!)
(THE OPENING. THE OPENING WAS SO COOL.)

Few words about two Korean dramas I’ve watched this spring too.

DOCTOR STRANGER
I should stop saying “medical dramas aren’t really my thing”, because every time I watch one I end up to like it, so it really doesn’t make sense. This one in particular, was focused on political and personal stuff other than medical things, so it really wasn’t a problem. It was good. Even with that tragedy that Lee Jongsuk’s hair was.
A thing I loved was the ending: for once, no sad third wheels! I wanted Doctor Han and Doctor Oh to end up together since the beginning, so I’m glad they ended it in that way.
Also, this song.

YOU’RE ALL SURROUNDED
At the beginning I didn’t want to try it, because from the trailer it didn’t seem nothing great. And another detective drama? No thanks. Also, I’m not a big fan of Lee Seungi’s works. He’s a good actor and I like him, but all the dramas with him I’ve watched didn’t leave a big impression. In the cast there were more people I knew, but it wasn’t enough to make me want to try it.
And I don’t even remember why I tried the 1st episode. Maybe my sister watched it and convinced me. Anyway, IT WAS GREAT. I loved the 1st episode and I loved the whole drama. It was the right mix of comedy and thriller, with a little bit of angst. And the characters were great too. A drama where the 1st episode ends with the rookie detectives team walking with MCM’s Welcome to the Black Parade playing in the background... has to be good, come on.

I wanted to do something for Mugenday, which was 2 days ago, but somehow I lost track of time and ended up doing nothing -.-' I guess I'll just wait for their annyversary.

I'd like to write this kind of post more often, but I never do because of lack of time... and even when time isn't a problem, I still like to work as a full-time procrastinator. Anyway, the songs I'm obsessed with these days!

Kanjani8's Omoidama single is still stuck in my head, and I'm seriously considering to break my "do not buy Japanese singles anymore" rule and buy it because IT'S THAT GOOD. Omoidama is like a mix between BJ and All is well, with Subaru's voice goosebumps inducing near the end and... the whole song is just so well built and the lyrics are beautiful. Also, trumpet.

Mada Minu Chizu has been a bit of a grower, for me. The first listening didn't impress me that much, and I still find the refrain a bit... repetitive, maybe? But the rest of the song definitely makes up for it *-*
Aaaand, the song of all songs, the piece of musical perfection that is Junjou Koi Hanabi. I fell in love with it immediately, and with that I mean that, after the first 10 seconds, I was already doomed. THAT INTRO. THAT INSTRUMENTAL. THAT REFRAIN. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
Eito always release B-sides that are like some hidden treasures, but THIS TIME. THIS SINGLE.
You have no idea how hard is to find streaming links for these
Omoidama
Mada Minu Chizu
Junjou Koi Hanabi

(Another great thing of this single were the brass band versions of King of Otoko and Omoidama *_*)
Their last single, ER2, was good too, but none of the songs are stuck in my head yet.

Finally they released the full version of Ken's song for Fated to Love you, which I've been waiting for weeks. It's so good and cute and he has such a sweet voice :')
I've been spending the last days singing it non-stop.

Talking about OSTs, these 3 are nice too.
Baek Ah Yeon - Morning of Canon (Fated to Love you)
Megan Lee - Ready for Love (Fated to Love you)
Chen - Best Luck (It's Ok, It's Love)
Nico Touches the Walls - Tenchi Gaeshi (Haikyuu!!) --> one day I'll properly talk about how this show is ruining my life week after week

Also, there are so many things I'm not liking about Sailor Moon's remake (the ridiculous art), but the opening isn't among those. Moonlight Densetsu is still the best of the best, but I like this one too.

Meanwhile, Leo is going around singing ballads and being a hot serial killer. Ugh.

Last but not least, the cutest thing of the year! Cute people with cute clothes in cute rooms singing a cute song with a cute dance ♥

(VIXX's Eternity, Arashi's Daremo Shiranai and B1A4's Solo Day are still stuck in my head. And because of LOVE DVD I'm back in my Yozora e no Tegami period)

Alternative title: why Kanjani's Jyussai concerts should be released on DVD, like, now.

They stayed true to the pamphlet and went on stage with these outfits

Yes, this is an important reason.

It's the concert for their 10th anniversary ;_; And I'm sure the whole thing was really emotional ;_; And I'll cry ;_;
Look who also cried

;______________________;

Usual PDA, mostly by the courtesy of Yasuda. Thank you, sunflower

Quality outfits

HERE STARTS THE JUICY STUFF.

A WHOLE CONCERT of Scandinavian Yuuchin. I repeat, A WHOLE CONCERT.

Yes, at first it was strange seeing him with this hair color, but after like two minutes I realized. I realized that he was the most stunning creature on e
Earth. HE LOOKED SO GOOD. (here my Scandinavian Yuuchin tag. See it yourself. He's beautiful.)
THEN at the last concert he was black again AND STILL STUNNING.

Ready for more beauty? Because Subaru had short hair for all the dates and yes, I'm the biggest fan of his long, beautiful hair, but HOW CAN I SAY NO TO THIS

The beauty that can't be ruined. Or denied. I think we all need a concert with him looking like that.
This is important too.

THEY SANG BABUN! ATTACK ALL TOGETHER

Look at them they are ridiculous humans.

I don't know what are they doing here, but it seems deep and touching and very artistic

They did a Johnny's tribute, singing songs of every JE group :') Even if it's their concert for their anniversary, they sang senpais and kouhais' songs :')
GUESS WHICH OUTFIT THEY USED.

Of. Course.
I bet it was Yoko's idea. Feeling like an Arashi member, even if for few minutes. That idiot. Also, those outfits are legend.
Look at them singing A.Ra.Shi :')

Aaaand they did a beautiful thing (I wanted Arashi to do the same at Arafes but, of course, they didn't)
They switched their solos/unit songs \o/

Tiny Singers did Kicyu T_T

Sunflower and Giant Fucker did PanPanda T______T

And here is where I die. YOKOHINA DID TORN. The Slutty Otp song. U g h.
(I'd watch the performance on mute, though. Just to be sure)

I saw pics of Maru with a guitar, so I think he did Yasu's Watashi Kagami, but I'm not sure? I haven't read anything.

Let's end it with some pretty

Anyway, it must have been beautiful, and I really hope there will be a DVD.
And an album/tour have been announced for this late fall... with a new record label. Yup. (wait, 3-4 more singles by the end of the year too)
I guess it's too soon to talk, but while on one hand this might be a way for them to be more 'indipendent', musically speaking, it could also go all wrong. And Teichiku was a great label. All those DVD extras... They were worth my money, definitely.
I also think they're going to release a bit too much, this year. This year they've already released 4 singles and a DVD, and they're planning 4 more singles and an album. It all seems too much, and it's like Arashi all over again. Kanjani are not as popular as them, but they're getting there, slowly; this anniversary event was successfull, they're selling a lot, doing dramas, movies and tv shows... it's like Johnny has found another cow to milk.
I hope I'm wrong, I hope that, even if this 'new label' thing is a huge risk, everything will turn out well :)
I hope to see Yokohina performing TORN in HD.

Synopsis: The brilliant, invincible duo of Saikawa Kohei (Ayano Go), a university associate professor in architecture, and his wealthy student Nishizono Moe (Takei Emi) take on bizarre locked room murders and figure out the shocking tricks.

..."locked room murders"... where have I heard about this? Anyway, I'm a shallow woman, and I'll obviously watch it for the plot. Yes...
Jokes aside, the scriptwriters did write something really good in the past, like Strawberry Night and Bitter Blood, so I think it could be good. Definitely not original, because locked rooms again, but nice. And if it won't be nice... who cares, I'll take screencaps of Ayano Go's face.

Hanae gets drunk. When she wakes up the next morning, she finds a naked Yuto sleeping next to her. She has her first experience and first boyfriend out of the blue. Even when Hanae and Yuto go on to date, it is a daily process of trial and error because everything is a first for Hanae, including an amusement park date, a sleepover, Christmas Eve or a couple’s trip. To complicate matters, she also gets a proposal from Asao Yu (Tamaki Hiroshi), the CEO of an Italian food company who is popular with women, and a love triangle develops.

I'm a shallow woman - part 2. Because I've decided to watch this drama after seeing the male leads XD The usual thing with the plain, inexperienced woman (with glasses, of course) that somehow is contended by two good looking guys. Seems also very similar to that Cinderella drama because one of the guys is younger than her and the other is older/of the same age. But I like these things, so...

He is the only teacher in Japan with psychic powers because of a devil dwelling in his left hand. When his students are attacked by monsters and evil spirits which take up residence in weak human hearts, he would risk his life to protect them by making use of his left hand.

Looks... cringeworthy. I hope that Maru and Mirei's presence will distract me from everything that will go on on screen (and from Chinen's presence. I really dislike the guy as an actor >.<)

Heisuke dedicates himself towards the aim of making the cultural festival a success and overcomes the big fuss that occurs. His hard work finally bears fruit with the great success of the joint cultural festival.

I don't know what's going on with Ryo's drama, recently. Because it's since Papadol that I don't like the dramas he acts in (Papadol is included, of coure). Ryo is good, so he can make acceptable even a dull drama, but I'd still prefer him going back to 'the old days'. And I hope he'll do it with this drama.

Date: From 10.00 p.m., Fridays, 17 October 2014
Station: TBS
Scriptwriter: Okudera Satoko (Yakou Kanransha)
Genre: Love mystery
Cast: Eikura Nana, Kubota Masataka, Kaku Kento, Koide Keisuke, Hara Hideko, Shibamoto Yuki, Moro Morooka, Miho Jun, Hayama Shono, Yamamoto Mirai, Orimoto Junkichi, Mitsuishi Ken, Miura Tomokazu, Konishi Manami, Tokui Yoshimi
Synopsis: University student Sugishita Nozomi (Eikura Nana), Naruse Shinji (Kubota Masataka), Ando Nozomi (Kaku Kento) and Nishizaki Masato (Koide Keisuke) end up coming upon the scene of the murder of the Noguchi couple (Konishi Manami, Tokui Yoshimi), because of a plan they had devised. Nishizaki is arrested at the scene and is given a 10-year prison term because of his voluntary confession. 10 years later, Takano Shigeru (Miura Tomokazu), a former police officer who has misgivings about the verdict of this case, starts to pursue the truth. He is convinced that it all began as a result of an incident caused by Nozomi and Naruse on an island in the Seto Inland Sea in the summer 15 years. “They committed a crime at that time. It was for the sake of each N.”

Something about the plot makes me think of a better, more mature version of Lost Days. And I liked that drama, so I have some expectations for this drama. Also because in the cast there are some really good actors that I haven't seen in ages (Kaku Kento! Koide Keisuke!!!!) and the scriptwriter wrote one of the best dramas of the last year, Yakou Kanransha.

The young samurai of the Oda family which is merely a minor feudal lord, set out towards the extraordinary dream of unifying the whole country through the power of Saburo. Saburo, a person from modern times who has no experience killing people, does not understand the willingness of the warlords of the Sengoku era to lay down their lives for their family. It is the same for the vassals too. They have had a hard time understanding Nobunaga’s actions ever since the ill-mannered, wilful Saburo took over. Despite this “generation gap across space and time”, they are soon on the brink of achieving their dream...

Putting this here because I have faith in this cast.

Just making a list of what somehow caught my attention, but I don't know how many of these I'll actually watch until the end.
Modern Farmer

Trailer
Date: Saturdays and Sundays, 18th October
Station: SBS
Scriptwriters: Kim Ki Ho (Fantasy Tower)
Cast: Lee Hong Ki, Park Minwoo, Lee Shi Eun, Lee Ha Nui, Kwak Dong Yun, Ha Bo Reum
Synopsis: A comedy drama about a rock band that takes up farming as an escape route.
Lee Min Ki is a genius rocker, as well as leader, vocalist, and guitarist of a rock band called Ex-So (Excellent Souls), that he founded together with drummer Han Ki Joon. The cynical Kang Hyeok is the keyboardist of the band, but also a medical school student who is from a family of doctors for many generations. The two will be involved in a love triangle with the lead female. Meanwhile, Yoo Han Cheol is the bass guitarist.

When the news of this drama came out this summer, I wasn't interested: I didn't know enough about the plot, I have a love-hate relationship with Hongki (he's talented, but somehow I've never managed to like him) and I don't like Minwoo enough to watch 20+ episodes. So it was no. Then I check it again and... the plot is okay, there's a guy from Reply 1994... but what made me fall was Kwak Dong Yun, my baby from Adolescence Medley ;_; He's so young and talented ;_; I'm doomed.

Pride and Prejudice/A Lawless World

Trailer
Date: Mondays and Tuesdays, 27th October
Station: MBC
Scriptwriters: Lee Hyun Joo (Late Night Hospital, School 5)
Cast: Choi Jin Hyuk, Baek Jin Hee, Choi Min Soo, Kim Na Woon, Son Chang Min, Choi Woo Shik
Synopsis: Set in the world of prosecutors and lawyers, each with different ambitions and prejudices for and against the bureaucratic system. The hero is a chief prosecutor who enjoys prestige and money, and worked his way up on the fast track because he was smart enough to skip grades to become a prosecutor at age 21. The heroine is a junior prosecutor, known for her dogged investigative skills. She’s more like a detective with a prosecutor’s badge, because she started as a cop and changed course to go to law school and become a prosecutor.

Trying to capture people's attenction with that title, when the actual thing will probably have nothing to do with the real 'Pride and Prejudice' -.- Anyway, we're going to have the rich, successfull, clever young lad who will treat bad the female lead (naive, probably clumsy but funny and blah bla blah) but eventually will end up falling for her... the usual thing. The trailers seem cute enough to try it, and who knows when Choi Jin Hyuk will enlist, so let's try it.

Pinocchio

Trailer
Date: Wednesdays and Thursdays, November 2014
Station: SBS
Scriptwriters: Park Hyerun (Dream High, I Hear Your Voice)
Cast: Lee Jong Suk, Park Shin Hye, Lee Yoobi, Kim Young Kwang, Byun Hee Bong, Kim Kwang Kyu, Lee Pil Mo
Synopsis: Drama series follows reporters for a broadcasting company as they chase the truth.

Unsure. Unsure and suspicious. Unsure because we really don't know much about the plot. Suspicious because Park Shin Hye. Girl isn't even that bad, but often chooses shows that make her no justice and that offend me. Like, Flower Boys Next Door was good, You're Beautiful was awfully long and clichè but it's a classic, Heartstring... mmmh no comment. But after The Heirs I can't look at her face without thinking about Cha Eung Sang (the character she played), who is one of the worst characters ever written. Serial killers are better because at least they're the bad ones and they make sense. But Cha Eung Sang... ugh. Anyway. I can't trust her. On the other hand, Lee Jong Suk usually has good taste, in the last years he's always chosen good dramas, but who knows. For once, I'm deciding to watch something basing my decision only on the scriptwriter. Both Dream High and I Hear Your Voice were REALLY good, so I'm going to try this one too.

The King's Face

Trailer
Date: Wednesdays adnd Thursdays, November 2014
Station: KBS2
Scriptwriters: Lee Hyang Hee (Loveholic, Money War)
Cast: Seo in Guk, Lee Sung Jae, Jo Yoon Hee, Shin Sung Rok
Synopsis: Drama series follows the life of Prince Gwanghae. Even though he is the child of a concubine, he becomes the crown prince. For the next 16 years, until he becomes the King, Prince Gwanghae suffers through dethronement and death threats. Using physiognomy as a weapon, he is able to become the King.

Putting this here just as a self reminder. I kinda want to try it because it's the first time Seo In Guk tries this kind of route, but I find sageouk a bit too heavy for me, so we'll see.

They're going to air the "remakes" (because we all know they'll change the story, like they always do) of Liar Game and Nodame Cantabile too, but I'd prefer to watch first the originals (yes, I've never watched them. Shame on me), before ruining them with the korean version :D

While VIXX make a perfect comeback, Eito release a new single \o/
Let me tell you, this time I wasn't that hyper about this single. Maybe because I've only listened to the radio version of Clover and it didn't tell me that much, I don't know.
Anyway. The covers! I like that they did the same thing of TWL/Yellow Pansy Streen single: the Itta Janaika cover for the version with its PV, the Clover cover for the one with the other PV, and a 'meeting' between the 2 for the RE. It's cute.

Clover it's a grower. I've listened to it 5 or 6 times before deciding that I liked it. It's not spectacular, but it's nice! And the PV! Hideous, hideous leprechauns outfits, but at the same time they were adorable, I don't care. (also, Scandinavian Yuuchin)

Cute cute cuuuuute

Clover is cute, but Itta Janaika. Itta Janaika. A+ song and the PV is on another level. No, it's not cute. It's kinda scary, actually. And crazy. A lot. I mean...

WHAT

WHAT

Ryo is a NIGHTMARE in this PV

I still can't say anything about the B-side track because I need more time.
(And on the 5th of november... the album! I'm excited! Next week there's The Digitalian too, I'm curious... even if this Zero-G thing doesn't seem something I'll like... but who knows!)

PS: someone stop Ohkura. He's going around doing photoshoots withglasses.

[review] Arashi - THE DIGITALIAN

Late, but I had a Tax Law exam to pass.

First of all, this album made me a happy girl. Because I was expecting nothing, since Popcorn was terrible and I only liked few tracks from LOVE; also, the fact that they announced it as an album with a lot of digital music scared me. A lot. I was ready to listen to an album full of copies of Intergalactic, really.
But. But. BUT!!! I was wrong *do do do doooom*

Zero-G: before the album release, I only watched the PV preview they aired on TV and was totally unimpressed: the song seemed nothing special, the only thing of the choreo I noticed where those strange hip thrusts… no thanks. It was the full PV and, especially, the performance and the making of that did the thing for me. Both the song and the dance are a lot of fun, and Arashi really seem to enjoy them too, which is great. I enjoyed the live perf a lot and the making was perfect!! I love what they did at the end, dancing the whole song just for the sake of... let us see the dance. Since they weren’t filming the PV in that moment. They just went in front of a camera and danced. Laughing, making mistakes, singing random parts and being generally adorable. I don’t often define Arashi (the whole group, not single members) as adorable, but here they were. Especially Jun, he was the cutest thing!

Wonderful: mmmh not my favorite track of the album and some parts of the refrain throws me off a little, but it’s ok. Still, not the best song ever.

Tell me why: THE BEAUTY OF THIS SONG! At first I was like “Oh, a slow ballad” but then there was the refrain and... it wasn’t so slow? It wasn’t that much like a ballad? It was pretty, oh so pretty. And then the rap. THE RAP. And the part after it. THE PERFECTION. This song and how it builds up is so so so beautiful, and it totally caught me off guard so it’s even better. Good, good, GOOD. Probably the one I want to watch live the most.

Asterisk: I wasn’t expecting to like this one, because the beginning is veeeery digital and with a lot of autotune, but then it gets better and, I don’t know, it works out somehow? It’s really catchy. See, I’m not against autotune and digital music, when the result is good. Oh, and the rap is great. A lot of random English too (like in Zero G)

Imagining Crazy (Ohno solo): I guess I’ll like the live performance, because the song does nothing to me. I’d like him to try something a little bit different, but in the end the lives are good so I don’t know.

Disco Star (Aiba solo): the lyrics made me have a good laugh, seriously. Not as good as some other Aiba solos, but it’s catchy and fun and HE’S A DISCO STAR! What a cutie.

TRAP: the beginning scared me but, other than that, this is a jam, even if it’s not Arashi style at all. I hope the choreo will be good because the song deserves it.

STAY GOLD (Jun solo): *glimpses around* the end of the world must be near because I LIKE IT. Quite a lot I must say. It’s similar to what J is doing recently with his solos and his DJ MJ thing (is that even a thing... ) but this one actually turned out nice! Praying the live won’t be a mess. PLEASE JUN, PLEASE. KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON THIS TIME.

Merry Christmas (Nino solo): NEEN YOU CUTE POOP. We know that Nino usually composes two kind of songs, the gorgeous ballads and the cute but meaningful songs, and this one definitely belongs to the second category. It’s so cute??? And it’s about Christmas so it’s even better!

Kimi no Yume wo Mite Ita: I don’t know why, but from Nino solo onwards, the album takes a cute turn, at least for me. This song actually has nothing particular, nothing special, is very simple, but maybe this is what makes it so nice. And the refrain is beautiful. Probably the song that is most Arashi-like in the album.

One Step: CUTE. The melody is adorable and the lyrics are truly beautiful ;_; One of my favorite pieces of the album, it just puts a big smile on my face.

Hey Yeah! (Sho solo): a bit like the songs Sho often does, but one of his best, and it’s one of those songs that really works well for concerts.

Hope in the Darkness: not so fond of the never ending ‘ooooooohhhhh’ at the beginning, but the rest of the song is really nice. Funny enough, while I don’t like the ‘ooooohhhhh’ at the beginning, I like the one in the refrain?? (maybe because it reminds me a little of the one in VIXX’s Eternity, I don’t know)

Take Off!!!: I don’t feel it at all :/

The songs from the singles included this time are really good too: I’m still a bit wary about Bittersweet (maybe it still remind me about ChocoJun, which is a thing I’d like to forget), but it’s a good song, GUTS! is a cute catchy thing, and Daremo Shiranai is the best of the best. So, nice A-tracks too, things that not happened with LOVE: Calling, Breathless and Endless Game are good songs, eh, but I don’t love any of them the way I love Daremo Shiranai or GUTS!

In conclusion, The Digitalian is a great album. Not at the levels of the holy trinity Time/BNMF/Beautiful World, but still great, with only two songs I don’t like. But mostly is the fact that I really wasn’t expecting this, hence my happiness \o/
